Gold Coast Hospital and Health Services (GCHHS) is committed to the wellbeing of our patients and staff and supporting a healthy Gold Coast community.

GCHHS will shortly be tendering an opportunity to provide fresh bakery products, which are provided to patients as part of their meals at Gold Coast University Hospital and Robina Hospitals. 

GCHHS is particularly interested in offers from local Gold Coast businesses (either directly or indirectly by using Queensland produced ingredients), which support employment in our community and help GCHHS contribute to lowering our carbon footprint.

Prior to the release of this tender, GCHHS is interested in hearing from potential suppliers and primary producers regarding the following questions to better understand local market conditions.

• When making bakery products such as breads and cakes, what raw ingredients are produced in Queensland and approximately what proportion of the total ingredients does this comprise?
• If applicable, what barriers (if any) contribute to increasing this proportion?   

The tender will be released through the Queensland Government tender website QTenders and GCHHS encourages all potential suppliers to register with QTenders to be notified when the tender is released.
