Tender Overview

Ergon Energy Retail have committed to continuing operation of the Barcaldine Gas Power Station. In order to continue the pipeline operations the establishment of an agreement to secure the services for the operation and maintenance program is required

The Cheepie to Barcaldine Gas Pipeline is a 436km underground gas pipeline that runs north from Cheepie to Barcaldine in Central Queensland. The pipeline provides gas supply to the Barcaldine Power Station.
The Cheepie to Barcaldine Gas Pipeline (CBGP) comprises of two sections: The first running from Gilmore/Log Creek to Barcaldine Gas Turbine Power Station and the second running from Cheepie to Log Creek.
The Pipeline incorporates four Main Line Valve Stations (MLV) located at;
• Cheepie,
• Log Creek,
• Blackall and,
• Alice River
The entire route of the pipeline is classified as Location Class R1 (Broad Rural). It passes through 49 separate portions of land, 46 of which are grazing land.

Operations, Maintenance and Inspection plan outlines the tasks that need to be undertaken as part of Operations and Maintenance on the Cheepie to Barcaldine Gas Pipeline (CBGP) at regular intervals. Please refer to technical Specification for more detail.
