Tender Overview

INVITATION

The Cairns Convention Centre is undergoing a $176 million expansion and refurbishment to maximise its capabilities, modernise facilities, and bring new business to Far North Queensland.

The project will see significant refurbishment of the existing facilities and services upgrades and a 10,500m2 expansion, which includes a large undercover area, tropically planted drop off and entry forecourt, an expanded main entry lobby, a 450 seat plenary lecture space, three 150 seat meeting rooms and exhibition space for up to 36 booths.

Do you want to be a part of this significant project for the Far North Queensland region?

The Department of Housing and Public Works (DHPW) invites interested local businesses and suppliers to attend a free information session on tendering for the remaining contract work with the Managing Contractor for the Cairns Convention Centre expansion and refurbishment project.

This 90-minute program is being delivered to provide practical tips and information to help local businesses and suppliers to find out more about the tendering process and to learn tips to increase the chances of tendering success both on this and future projects.

It will help you with writing an effective tender response that outlines the expertise, experience and value-add activities of your respective businesses when being assessed for the right fit for the tendered works.

The program will cover presentations from:

• Department of Housing and Public Works

• Lendlease Building Pty Ltd

• Department of State Development, Tourism and Innovation
