Energy Queensland (EQL), through an open market Request for Tender (RFT) is seeking submissions from capable organisations for augmented functional and technical support services for its ERP/EAM SAP systems. This includes support for S4/HANA ERP/EAM, cloud ‘as a service’ systems (including SAP Ariba and SuccessFactors) and other complementary systems.

This procurement activity has been identified through the detailed design phase of the ERP/EAM support model and through consultation with the EQL business and digital stakeholders.

The scope of the successful vendor partner will be to:

  • Provide an augmented operational support capability: that delivers comprehensive functional and technical operational support for identified in scope ERP/EAM systems and including the value-add provision of functional and technical support for future-state planned non-core ERP/EAM systems;
  • Facilitate knowledge transfer: upskill and retrain EQL staff to be transitioned to new systems in a Super User capacity and Level 2 Support capacity;
  • Leverage industry expertise: and best practices for implementation and transition to Business as Usual (BAU) to ensure support for new systems are as seamless as possible and do not impact EQL operations and are aligned to EQL Service level Agreements;
  • Ensure platform stability and security: Provide a minimum level of cyber and data security according to best practice and required certifications and capabilities, including (but not limited to): security information and event management (SIEM) , Open Web Application Security Project (OWASP) certification;
  • Provide an extensible costing and resource model: provide a contractual pricing model that supports future growth and scalability including expediently provisioning (as required by EQL) technical and functional resources to support for larger changes to optimise operational efficiency;
  • Actively manage availability and monitor performance: ensure adherence to platform availability based on EQL’s SLA’s;
  • Become a partnership (not transitional relationship): enter into a partnership arrangement with EQL aligned with EQL values and provide innovative solutions to focus on the end-goals of the enablement of process refinement, cost savings and automation; and
  • Provide a seamless transition in/out: Ensure the seamless transition from existing support arrangements already in place within EQL and from in-flight projects.
