The Office of Industrial Relations (OIR) is responsible for leading, promoting and enabling work health and safety improvements in Queensland.

The Office of Industrial Relations (OIR) comprises of:
•  Workplace Health and Safety Queensland
•  Electrical Safety Office
•  Workers’ Compensation Regulatory Services
•  Industrial Relations Policy and Regulation
•  Industrial Relations

In partnership with our stakeholders, the OIR strive to achieve the lowest rate of work-related and electrical fatality, injury and disease in the nation, improved workers’ compensation regulatory services and a fair industrial relations framework in Queensland.

OIR are looking to provide a fully funded and independent service to all Queensland workers to support their understanding of and ability to navigate the workers’ compensation scheme.
