Tender Overview

Invitation to Industry Briefing for the engagement of a Systems Integration Partner for European Train Control Systems (ETCS) under Cross River Rail (CRR)

Queensland Rail is committed to achieving excellence in procurement outcomes across Queensland. A critical component of this is working together with and supporting businesses by providing relevant information at an early stage. Queensland Rail intends to release an open tender for a Systems Integration Partner for ETCS works associated with CRR via the Queensland Government QTenders website in the coming weeks for a three (3) week period.

The tender will seek an ICT System Integration Partner with extensive software delivery and integration experience (client side and product/service delivery), to deliver in conjunction with Queensland Rail’s Major Projects Integration team, and to lead the required modifications to enable the seamless integration between the ETCS Traffic Management System (TMS) and the existing Queensland Rail ICT Business Systems.
It is expected that the SIP will be responsible for:
• Management of engagement activities with external vendors to facilitate the required enhancements to the impacted Queensland Rail ICT Business Systems;
• Leadership and delivery of all design, test, build and integration activities;
• Leadership in the engagement of internal and external stakeholders including Queensland Rail’s ICT and Operational System Engineering (OSE) as well as the ETCS vendor (Hitachi); and
• Overseeing the successful delivery of the business system modification project, within the project constraints, and provide expert project management services.

Please see the attachment for more information on how to register for the industry briefing.
