Industry Briefing 31st July 2020 - please register your interest

The industry briefing will be held via Microsoft Teams. A recording of the briefing will be added to Council’s Supplier Portal. To register your interest in attending, please email stephanie.hill@brisbane.qld.gov.au by no later than 4:00pm Thursday 30 July. The nominated person will receive an invitation and link to the online briefing.

Tender closing date is Wednesday 19 August at 12.00 AEST via Qtenders or Brisbane City Council Supplier Portal - Please register to this portal as councils preference.

Background

Council is looking to launch a free-to-use application to aid Brisbane’s economic recovery and encourage residents and visitors to get out and about following the Coronavirus crisis. Currently, residents look through multiple websites, search engines, social media sites and applications to source information about local events and businesses in their area. Council’s new application will provide everything in one place and give customers the option to tailor and filter by their location and interests.

Council is seeking a solution that allows for two interfaces/uses:
• one for businesses to upload their events, business details and offerings directly
• one for resident and visitors to explore what’s on offer in our city.

The application will allow users to quickly and easily:
• find information on events relevant to their location and interests
• explore hidden gems in their neighborhoods using a list or map view
• discover more Brisbane businesses
• create shareable and savable itineraries
• get inspired for their next activity.
