Tender Overview

OVERVIEW

Queensland Rail’s Travel and Tourism business plays an important role in connecting regional Queensland and offers the largest and most comprehensive network of long distance and tourist trains in Australia. Queensland Rail's services extend along the Queensland coastline from Brisbane to Cairns and West to Charleville, Longreach and Mount Isa. Queensland Rail Travel’s fleet is made up of several conveyance types, each of varying heights and dimensions. Platforms at regional stations are generally a standard height of 1050mm.

Queensland Rail is currently seeking a Disability Standards for Accessible Public Transport 2011 (DSAPT) compliant boarding ramp solution for use on the Travel and Tourism fleet at designated platforms across the network. The boarding ramp is intended to improve access to regional conveyances across the network, while providing a safe and simple to operate solution for customer service staff.

Queensland Rail is seeking Expressions of Interest (EOI) from suitably qualified and experienced suppliers to offer their innovative proposal.
