Section 1

Tender Overview

Tenders are invited for the construction of a new community meeting facility adjacent to and connected to the existing Beerwah Library building.

Works include but are not limited to:

  • Construction of a new community meeting room facility
  • Construction of a connecting corridor to the existing library building
  • Landscape works associated with the new facility
  • Electrical installation
  • Mechanical services installation including air conditioning, ventilation and Building Management System
  • Hydraulic installation
  • Fire services installation including integration of existing library and new facility
  • Design & construction of a new entry statement feature

This is a lump sum construction contract.

It is anticipated the works will commence by the first week in November 2020 with practical completion required by 30 June 2021.

The successful contractor will be required to provide all materials, plant and labour, and to perform all necessary operations, to ensure the complete and proper completion of the works associated with this Contract.

Respondents are to ensure that their submission takes into consideration the existing library facility remaining operational throughout construction works.

This project is being partly funded from State Government funding through the Unite and Recover Community Stimulus Package. There will be a strong emphasis on the use of local labour and materials. Respondents must clearly demonstrate in their submission the project allocations contributing to the local Sunshine Coast economy and community.
