The Savannahlander service is a tourist passenger rail service made available to the general public that travels along the Tablelands System between Cairns to Forsayth [Far North Qld] stopping at a number of rail stations on-route. The current service offering is one return service per week, for 39 weeks (March to November) each calendar year. The purpose of the Expression of Interest [EOI] is to gain market interest and test the market for attractiveness or viability for the provision of tourist passenger rail services in far north Queensland and to understand how the market might provide the service. The information provided by Service Providers during the EOI Process will be considered when deciding an approach for any future invitation to offer.
