Section 1

Tender Overview

With the changing nature of the National Electricity Market (NEM) driven by the increasing and rapid
penetration of renewable generation across the NEM and in Queensland, CS Energy is investigating the
potential to incorporate fast and flexible dispatchable generation into its portfolio through the
development of a utility scale battery.

CS Energy is interested to understand the capability and experience of BESS developers for a solution
along with budgetary pricing. CS Energy is seeking a mature and experienced developer with the
necessary financial capability and backing to construct, project manage and partner with CS Energy.

Due to the confidential nature of this EOI, it is a requirement that a Confidentiality Agreement is
entered into prior to release of the EOI documentation itself.
