The Queensland Government as represented by the Department of Agriculture and Fisheries (DAF) is seeking Proposals for the Review of State Development Assessment Provisions Codes.
DAF have been approached by the State Assessment and Referral Agency (SARA) in the Department of State Development, Infrastructure, Local Government and Planning, to undertake a review of the State Development Assessment Provision (SDAP) state codes relevant to DAF as part of a whole-of-government initiative to reduce and remove red and green tape to assist economic recovery post COVID‑19. The engagement of a consultant is required to assist DAF and SARA to review the SDAP codes.
The consultant will be required to work with DAF and SARA to review all DAF relevant state codes and provide DAF with advice on redrafted purpose statements and performance outcomes, that are consistent with the SDAP drafting practices and adequately address and protect the state interests of each relevant state code, consistent with legislation and policy.
It includes:
- the facilitation of discussions between SARA and DAF on the review of SDAP codes 11, 12, 15, 17, 18, and 22; and
- provide DAF with advice on redrafted purpose statements and performance outcomes, that are consistent with the SDAP drafting practices (attached), and adequately address and protect the state interests of each relevant state code, consistent with legislation and policy.
