Tender Overview

The Queensland Government as represented by the Department of Environment and Science is seeking expressions of interest (EOI) for delivery of a Reef Regulation Extension Program.

The department is seeking an expression of interest from prospective suppliers to deliver an extension program in the Wet Tropics, Burdekin, and Mackay Whitsunday regions to inform agricultural producers about the reef regulations. The aim of this work is to assist producers and increase voluntary compliance rates with the reef regulations through increased knowledge amongst the regulated community of their legislative requirements.

The extension program will provide specific information about the reef regulations for sugarcane growers in the Wet Tropics, Burdekin, and Mackay Whitsunday regions (see the Great Barrier Reef catchment map); cattle graziers in the Burdekin region, and banana growers in the Wet Tropics region. Respondents can nominate interest in delivering a sub-set of this project by geographical area and/or agricultural commodity or across all three regions.

The purpose of this EOI is to identify interested suppliers for the program and provide market input into prospective costs, delivery options, any limitations or barriers to delivery, and evaluation measures. This information will be used to formalise the project scope and requirements before a formal Invitation to Offer is released by the department.

For detailed information, please refer to the Expression of Interest (EOI) document provided.
