Section 1

Tender Overview

The Department of Education (DoE) is calling for tender submissions for the design and construction of an amenities block refurbishment at Capella State School located at 41 Huntley Street, Capella QLD 4723, as part of the School Infrastructure Enhancement (SIE) program.

The works involves the reconfiguration and refurbishment of the existing amenities block at the school to improve functionality, ventilation, supervision and enhance the facilities with new finishes and fittings. As part of the project temporary facilities will need to be provided for the duration of the works. The position of the building is on the side of the school with ample laydown areas adjacent to the work zone. All works are to be completed by 30 June 2021.

Tender submissions will be accepted from contractors that meet the following requirements:

  • Appropriate QBCC Builders licences to undertake the entire scope of works
  • Professional Indemnity Insurance to the value of $ 1 Million

 

QBCC Licensing and Professional Indemnity Insurance

It is anticipated that a minimum of a QBCC (Low Rise) builders’ licence will be required for this project. Contractors are required to hold Professional Indemnity Insurance in accordance with the contract.
