Dear Tenderer, Invitation to Submit a Tender Re: NMR Relocation Room 2.18A (N27), Griffith Institute of Drug Discovery, Building 1 (GRIDD 1) Nathan campus You are invited to submit a Tender to carry out all works associated with the NMR Relocation Room 2.18A (N27), Griffith Institute of Drug Discovery, Building 1 (GRIDD 1) Nathan campus, Griffith University. The intent is that the works are completed in order to facilitate the move of the existing Bruker Avance Neo 400 MHz NMR System and Console from Science Building 1 (N25) to Room 2.18A (N27), Griffith Institute of Drug Discovery, Building 1 (GRIDD 1) and provide necessary updates to mitigate the Asphyxiation Risk identified as part of the Safety In Design investigation. Griffith Institute for Drug Discovery, Building 1 (GRIDD 1) is a specialised Laboratory facility with sensitive equipment and on-going experiments. The Tender documents are as detailed on the drawing transmittal. You are required to check that all Tender documents received match those listed on the accompanying Document Transmittal. Confirmation that you have received all the documents listed is to be provided to the Principal by signing a copy of the Transmittal where provided and returning it to the Principal in accordance with the requirements of the General Conditions of Tendering. The SITE VISIT on the 23 April 2021 9.00am-10.00am is MANDATORY. Contractors in attendance shall not bring more than three (3) representatives and shall RSVP by COB 21 April 2021. The meeting point will be out the front of Griffith Institute for Drug Discovery, (GRIDD) 47 Don Young Road, Nathan. An additional site visit shall be arranged for sub-contractors on 29 April 2021 1.30pm to 2.30pm, RSVP Mandatory for all attendees by COB 27 April 2021. Every attendee shall adhere to relevant COVID-19 regulations and room/area population limitations as marked. No additional costs will be approved by the Superintendent or paid by the Principal due to any failure on your part to appreciate the extent of the project and its impact on adjacent buildings or facilities, or to evaluate any constraints on access to the site of the works. If you are unable to submit at Tender for whatever reason, you are requested to notify the person nominated above in writing stating the reason prior to the tender close date. This will assist me in preparing the tender evaluation and will maintain your standing with the University as a potential tenderer for future works. Evaluation Criteria is as per attached Appendix document. Tenders close at 1:00 pm on 14 May 2021 via the QTenders link 2644160337BCONSCAP associated with this project in accordance with the Conditions of Tender. A Tender submitted late or by any other means than that nominated may not be accepted. Queries relating to the tender documents including drawings and specifications (if any) shall be directed to the PD&C Project Manager, Huw Hayes via huw.hayes@griffith.edu.au Possession of site will be from the date of the Letter of Acceptance unless noted otherwise.
The successful contractor will be appointed as the Principal Contractor and will negotiate access to the site with the Superintendent and campus representatives. Access is to be maintained to all areas of the campus during construction. Yours sincerely
