Tender Overview

The Queensland Government is seeking Proposals for the provision of briefing & concept design services.

Project Background

Eastern Kuku Yalanji are the Traditional Owners of the ecotourism destination of Cape Tribulation in Daintree National Park, part of the Wet Tropics World Heritage Area. Through a partnership between the (i) Prescribed Body Corporate (PBC) of Jabalbina Yalanji Aboriginal Corporation (JYAC), the (ii) Department of Environment and Science, the (iii) Queensland Government and (iv) the Federal Government, a co-contribution fund has been established to finance the Construction of an Eastern Yalanjiwarra Cultural and Tourism Centre Hub and Visitor Centre situated in a strategic position in the Daintree National Park, Cape Tribulation.

Refer to the scope of works for the detailed information to assist with underdtnding what is required for the Briefing, Conceptual Design and Planning Application of the Eastern Yalanjiwarra Culture and Tourism Hub at Cape Tribulation, Far North Queensland.

This initial Phase incorporates the following project stages:

  1. Project Inception and Review technical studies
  2. Brief Workshops to facilitate Briefing Discussions and Stakeholder Engagement
  3. Development of a Design Brief and Site/ Infrastructure Plan
  4. Development of a Concept Design, to be used to support for a Planning Application
  5. Lodgement of Planning Application with Douglas Shire Council  
  6. Preparation of Scope & Tender Documentation for Phase Two - Detailed Design of the Project (i.e. Request for a Project team including architect, engineer, quantity surveyor and more)
