Invitation to Tender No. RFT0350

RFT0350 - Construction of Pedestrian/Cycle Bridge at Wide Bay Creek

Council is seeking the services of an appropriately qualified and experienced civil construction contractor for the construction of a reinforced concrete pedestrian/cycle bridge across Wide Bay Creek on the Kilkivan to Kingaroy Rail Trail.

The works the subject of this Invitation to Tender generally include:

  • Development and implementation of management plans to support the construction process;
  • Construction of the new concrete bridge and approach trail works in accordance with the approved design drawings and environmental approvals; and
  • Site rehabilitation and demobilisation at completion of the construction works.

This Invitation to Tender is for the purpose of establishing an AS2124 Lump Sum Contract.

Suitably endorsed Tenders close at the below website address at 1pm on 2 June 2021. In accordance with s228(8) of the Local Government Regulation 2012 (Regulation), Council may decide not to accept any tenders it receives.

In accordance with s288(9) of the Regulation any accepted tender must be the one deemed most advantageous to Council. It is noted that the lowest price tender may not be the most advantageous.

Council is following strict guidelines for hygiene and social distancing in response to COVID-19. Council requires that you do not attend if ANY OF THE FOLLOWING APPLIES TO YOU:

  • You have had contact with anyone who has tested positive for COVID-19.

Attendance Confirmation: Required in advance by email to tenders@gympie.qld.gov.au

It is not mandatory to attend the Tender Information Session and it is not a pre-requisite of the Invitation to Tender.

Maximum Staff Attendance: 2 per Offeror.

Vehicle Access Requirement: 4x4 vehicle suitable.

WH&S Requirements: Offerors are responsible for meeting their own Workplace Health and Safety obligations whilst attending the information session.
