Section 1

Tender Overview

The Department of Education (DoE) is calling for tender submissions for the design and construction of  FlexiSpace, Manual Arts Roof Replacement and Amenities Upgrade at Beerwah State High School, located at  35 Roberts Rd, Beerwah QLD 4519. 

The Flexible Learning Area Scope of works consists of new carpets, new joinery, operable wall and Bi Fold Doors, new covered outdoor learning area with screening. Three Amenities Blocks will be refurbished including new flooring, new toilet cubicles, internal painting, new screened gates, new sanitaryware fittings and fixtures. Manual Arts Block scope of works includes a complete Roof Replacement to the entire block. The position of these buildings are located in the centre of the school with limited site access and working space. All works are to be completed by July 2021. 

Tender submissions will be accepted from contractors that meet the following requirements: 

  • Appropriate QBCC Builders licences to undertake the entire scope of works
  • Professional Indemnity Insurance to the value of $ 1,000,000.00

QBCC Licensing and Professional Indemnity Insurance

It is anticipated that a minimum of a QBCC (Low Rise) builders’ licence will be required for this project. Contractors are required to hold Professional Indemnity Insurance in accordance with the contract.
