Section 1

Tender Overview

The Department of Tourism Innovation and Sport is looking for an experienced and qualified individual to work as the Chief Medical Officer (CMO) at Queensland Academy of Sports(QAS), Nathan, Queensland. The CMO will wor on a flexible part time basis, for equivalent of 2 days a week, 8 hours a day, for an initial period of 48 weeks till 30 June 2022, with possibility of further extension of up to 3 years till June 2025 (at the Customer’s discretion).

The applicant must hold MBBS degree or equivalent, reigistered to practice medicine in Australia, agree to the set daily rate of $1025.00 plus GST, and comply with a range of other requirements as outlned in the Request for Quote Section 1. The Successful applicant will need to take out relevant insurance and enter into a Contract with the Department.

Response must be submited via the QTender website and must include the following: 

  1. Completed and signed Request for Quote (Section 2 – Supplier Response)
  2. A current resume
  3. A brief summary (max 2 pages) telling us why you are interested in this role and how your experience will enable you to demonstrate the behaviour described in Section 6 - Other Evaluation Criteria and how this will enable the supplier to help deliver on the Expectation and Responsibilities as listed under Section 3 - Requirements

Note: Shortlisted applicant will be contacted by the department to attend an interview on Thursday 24 June at QAS, Nathan, QLD.
