Section 1

Tender Overview

Economic Development Queensland (EDQ) owns a significant part of the Gladstone State Development Area (Gladstone SDA) which is marketed and sold for large scale industrial development. Like all other properties in Queensland the MEDQ's holdings in the Gladstone SDA are subject to the clearing laws set out in the Vegetation Management Act 1999 (VMA) and relevant regulations, this includes the protection of endangered and of concern ecosystems.

EDQ is seeking a suitably qualified and capable supplier to provide machinery, weed control and mapping services in the initial area on Flynn Road to manage timber regrowth and invasive woody weeds (Lantana, rubber vine etc) in areas mapped as High-value regrowth vegetation (Category C) and Vegetation of least concern (Category X) land.  See Attachments 1 for location of target area on Flynn Road, Attachment 2 shows the same area with overlayed Category mapping.

Site access will be granted between 9  to 16 July 2021 by email request to the contact officer for the gate code. Site access can be obtained from Flynn Road off the Gladstone Mount Larcom Road.

For detailed information on the services sought under this tender, please review the Schedule 1 Requirements in the Request for Quote document.
