Tender Overview

The Department of Education (DoE) is calling for tender submissions for the design and construction of radiation works and new playground at Russell Island State School, located at 38-64 High Street, Russell Island 4184, as part of a school directly funded project.

The work includes the removal of the existing timber fort, timber climbing wall, some of the existing play equipment and the replacement with new as well as installing new drainage and artificial grass to the prep playground. The equipment has been specified and has a long lead-in time, thus the extended construction period. The position of the site is within the school site at the rear of the school with very limited site access and working space. Access will require all terrain vehicles and small equipment. All works are to be completed by January 2022.
Tender submissions will be accepted from contractors that meet the following requirements:
• Appropriate QBCC Builders licences to undertake the entire scope of works
• Professional Indemnity Insurance to the value of $ 1 Million
