The Queensland Government is seeking Proposals for Community Based Palliative Care Services
• The Government’s Palliative Care Reform Program will invest $171 million between 2021–22 and 2025–26. This process provides for up to $50 million in operating funding for community-based palliative care in Queensland. • Community-based palliative care investments will be focused on increasing the availability of high-quality needs-based palliative care services in regional, rural and remote communities in Queensland. • It is proposed that an open market process will commence in 2021. • Contracts between the Department of Health and successful proponents are anticipated to commence in early 2022–23.
