Section 1

Tender Overview

Redland City Council is seeking Proposals for a suitably qualified main/head Contractor for the rock armour replenishment to reinstate the revetment wall armour to the original ‘As Constructed’ profile at various locations in the Raby Bay Canal Estate.

The work to be performed under this Contract comprises of the provision of all materials, plant/equipment, labour and the performance of all operations necessary for the supply/delivery, installation/construction and supervision for the proposed works/services, which include but are not limited to:

  • Provision and implementation of all Management Plans;
  • Pre and post work dilapidation surveys;
  • Removal and reinstatement of walkways and pontoons including transportation and storage (excludes service disconnections/ reconnection which will be the property owner’s responsibility) as required;
  • Set out and ongoing monitoring of rock profile;
  • Remove/ stockpile existing revetment armour and reinstate (as required);
  • Supply and install geotextile (as required);
  • Supply, deliver and placement of suitably specified armour rock to the specified profile;
  • Resident notification, engagement and liaison in conjunction with the Superintendent;
  • Proactively assist the Superintendent and vessel owners where required with vessel movement/ relocation and assist residents wherever else reasonably required within the spirit of the project; and
  • Final reports.

Important Notes:

  1. Separable Portions - Each of the nineteen (19) sites will be considered a separable portion (as identified in Table 1 of the Project Brief). Council reserves at its sole and absolute discretion to select one or more separable portions to be completed in accordance with the budget allocated as part of this Contract.
  2. It is preferable that PDG-70084-2 commence after Australia Day 2022 and be completed prior to 25 March 2022.
