Section 1

Tender Overview

As part of its inspection and maintenance regime, Queensland Rail has identified the requirement to renew the protective coating on the Indooroopilly (Mains) Bridge, at 7.020km on the Western Main Line. 

The Scope of Work primarily includes:

  • Maintenance Painting – where the existing coating may remain, and
  • Complete Repainting – where the existing coating is entirely removed and replaced with a new coating system

SITE INSPECTION & REGISTRATION (MANDATORY)

mandatory site inspection will be held on Sunday, 14 November 2021. Registration is required and must be completed by 2:00PM Friday, 5 November 2021 to allow Queensland Rail time to organise Site Access. Please note, depending on the number of registered attendees, Supplier's may be assigned to a specific time period to allow all Supplier's access.   

Contractors who wish to attend the Site Inspection can register by emailing the following information to Jade Pettersen, Senior Buyer (Jade.Pettersen@qr.com.au): 

  • Name of Tenderer
  • Name of each attendee
  • Title/Position in the organisation
  • Phone number
  • Email address 

A maximum of two (2) representatives per company will be allowed to attend the site inspection. The representatives must be either the company’s employees or their nominated sub-contractors. Only pre-registered nominated representatives will be allowed on site. Due to site constraints, only one (1) represenatitve will be able to access the Bridge and must have current Working at Heights certification. Queensland Rail can provide rail skates, if required.

TENDER RELEASE

The  RFT will be released prior to Monday, 9 November 2021 and will aim to establish a Major Works Contract with a suitably capable and experienced Contractor for the Painting Works ensuring high quality work, achieved deadlines and value for money..

The RFT notification will be advertised via QTenders with responses to be submitted via Ariba Sourcing. 

TENDER BRIEFING

An optional tender briefing will be held on Wednesday, 17 November 2021 via TEAMS. Suppliers are requested to register by 2:00PM Monday, 15 November 2021. Further information will be provided with the RFT.
