The ProjectThe Frederick Street road-over-rail bridge in Alderley (crossing the Ferny Grove Line) was closed to road traffic in 2012 and to foot/bike traffic in January 2020 due to safety concerns caused by the bridges high level of deterioration. The bridge was demolished in April 2020. Queensland Rail are now undertaking a Project to install a new foot and cycle overbridge in the location of the recently demolished timber overbridge at Frederick Street, Alderley. KEY DATES
TENDER RELEASE The RFT will be released Monday, 17 January 2022 and will aim to establish a Major Works Contract with a suitably capable and experienced Contractor for the Works ensuring high quality work, achieved deadlines and value for money.. The RFT notification will be advertised via QTenders with responses to be submitted via Ariba Sourcing. Suppliers may pre-register now to ensure access direct access to the Ariba Sourcing Event upon publishing by emailing Jade.Pettersen@qr.com.au.
TENDER BRIEFING An optional tender briefing will be held on Monday, 24 January 2022 via TEAMS. Suppliers are requested to register by 5:00PM Friday, 21 January 2022. Further information will be provided with the RFT however suppliers may pre-register by emailing Jade.Pettersen@qr.com.au.
SITE INSPECTION & REGISTRATION (MANDATORY) A mandatory site inspection will be held on Tuesday, 25 January 2022. Registration is required and must be completed by 10:00AM Monday, 24 January 2022. Contractors who wish to attend the Site Inspection can register by emailing the following information to Jade Pettersen, Senior Buyer (Jade.Pettersen@qr.com.au):
A maximum of two (2) representatives per company will be allowed to attend the site inspection. The representatives must be either the company’s employees or their nominated sub-contractors. Only pre-registered nominated representatives will be allowed on site. |
