Tender Overview

INVITATION TO OFFER (ITO) : AQ 031/2022 Queensland Museum (QM) Column, State Library Queensland (SLQ) entry and Green Shelf

The State of Queensland represented by the Department of Communities, Housing and Digital Economy acting through Arts Queensland (the Principal) is seeking tenders from suitably qualified and licensed building contractors to complete the QM Column, SLQ Entry and Green Shelf cladding removal, re-installation and related works. Summary of works are:

Queensland Museum

  • Removal of the existing PE core Aluminium Composite Panel, including any non-compliant/combustible packers, spacers, sealants, backer rods and the like.
  • Supply and installation of new cladding cassette system with associated compliant flashings, fixings, packers, spacers, sealants backer rods to the applicable standards.

State Library Queensland

  • Remove of existing Expanded Polystyrene awning, including any non-compliant/combustible packers, spacers, sealants, backer rods and the like.
  • Supply and install new and/or additional structural members.
  • Supply and installation of new cladding cassette system with associated compliant flashings, fixings, packers, spacers, sealants backer rods to the applicable standards.

Tenderers shall refer to the ITO document and supporting attachments for the full details of works and requirements.  Tenderers must download and review all the "Specification Documents" in "Section 3 - Here is the detail" below.

SPECIAL NOTES:

Mandatory Industry Briefing (MIB) applies to this ITO and attendance is mandatory - refer applicable MIB section in ITO. Tenderers Note: Due to COVID-19 and safety requirements, virtual Industry Briefing session will be delivered by the Principal via Microsoft Teams. Potential Tenderers is responsible ensuring appropriate MIB registration.  Refer to section "Mandatory Industry Briefing" of the ITO

Mandatory Site Inspection. Site Inspection will be made available only to Tenderers who attended the MIB. Refer to section "Site Inspection" of the ITO.
