Tender Overview

TMRICT21126 RFI - Maritime Electronic Logbook System. Please note that this is only a Request for Information, this is NOT a tender. 

The Department of Transport and Main Roads (TMR) is focused on connecting people via an efficient, integrated transport system accessible to everyone. Maritime Safety Queensland (MSQ) is a branch of the Department of Transport and Main Roads within the Customer Services, Safety and Regulation Division. The role of MSQ role is to protect Queensland's waterways and the people who use them—providing safer, cleaner seas.

Currently MSQ uses existing paper based systems which captures the day-to-day running of a variety of vessels, with the paper based systems being prone to damage, cannot be monitored remotely and does not provide the capability to review and analyse associated data (to create efficiencies).

Maritime Safety Queensland (MSQ) wants an electronic vessel logbook solution, to replace the existing paper based solutions. An electronic logbook solution will be for a variety of MSQ vessels which captures the day-to-day running of those vessels, including; details of maintenance, scheduling, crew qualifications and safety issues, as described in Annexures A & B.

MSQ would like to develop an understanding of the market capabilities and to gather insights to inform MSQ as part of the market research activity. 

Submission requirements:

  • The Response Schedule (Section 3) must be completed and returned with the submission.
  • Detailed Response Questions to be completed in Response Schedule section 3. 
  • Supplier to provide completed As A Service Questionnaire - Compliance with security questionnaire (Annexure C).
