Tender Overview

Summary of the Opportunity

The University of Queensland (UQ) is seeking to establish a panel of suppliers for Print and Merchandise products. UQ is seeking offers from suppliers of the following:

  • Printing
  • Small signage
  • Merchandise
  • Apparel

Background and Objectives

In 2019, UQ Print was formed as an amalgamation of procurement activities around printing, small signage, merchandise, and apparel.

As a business services department of the University, UQ Print’s primary objectives are to service the staff and students’ direct needs in these areas, with a focus on providing excellent service, quality, environmental and ethical standards, and cost efficiencies on all purchases. UQ are looking for suppliers to fulfil these requirements by working closely with the UQ Print Client Service department, who will work directly with internal clients.

The University has a wide range of events and communications that heavily rely on the service provided by UQ Print and in turn will rely on the panel with a high expectation of commitment and pricing, reflective of the spend and as a key client.

Specifications:

The purpose of this procurement is to:

  1. Engage a reliable and committed panel of suppliers to service the requirements of the University in print, merchandise, and apparel.
  2. Provide the UQ community a single place to access all their print, merchandise, and apparel needs.
  3. Provide exceptional services and products that are fulfill the same strategic goals as the University in areas of ethical and environmental purchasing and keeping within the brand guidelines as set out by UQ.

The current scope and specific requirements of this procurement include the following:

  • Various printed materials (eg. brochures, books, posters)
  • Secure printing (eg. graduation materials)
  • Corflute and banner printing and install
  • Extra-large outdoor banner printing and install
  • Car and building decals
  • Various merchandise items (eg. water bottles, keep cups, lanyards)
  • Various apparel (eg. uniforms, scrubs, event t-shirts)
  • Variable data mailing

Please note the current scope does not include:

  • Exam print
  • International print & distribution
  • Student Course notes

From 8:00am 5th July 2023, interested suppliers can register to view the tender documents and submit an offer on the UQProcure platform here.
