Section 1

Tender Overview

The Queensland Building and Construction Commission (QBCC) will be seeking to engage a Supplier/s to submit Proposals for Claims Management Services (Queensland Home Warranty Scheme) consultants.

The requirements of the consultant services specifically includes the specialist provision of the following services:

• preparing scopes of work for rectification or completion of residential construction work under the nation leading Queensland Home Warranty Scheme (using a Supplier sourced and managed panel of expert, licenced builders); and

• quantification of claims once the scope of work is approved by the QBCC, typically by calling tenders for the rectification or completion of defective or incomplete residential construction work from an approved panel of appropriately licensed contractors managed by the service provider. Alternatively, when requested, claims may be quantified by a quantity surveyor (QS) (sourced by the Supplier or appointed  from a QBCC QS panel); and

• where a claim is approved by the QBCC based on a tender provided by a member of the service provider’s panel, arranging for the carrying out of the rectification or completion works, and monitoring and managing the repair or completion process.

• this contract will be managed by a Contract Manager appointed by the QBCC within a Contract Management Plan for the duration of the Contract, the Supplier will need to provision for active contract administration to provide regular monthly, and as necessary reporting back to QBCC on claims status.

Further information regarding the details of the Customer requirements, including reporting, will be provided at the mandatory briefing session to be held on 18 January 2024 at 10-11.30am, at 299 Montague Road, West End Brisbane QLD (or via Microsoft Teams) with opportunity to ask questions and clarify Customer expectations. RSVP by COB Tuesday 16 January 2024.

Initial contract period will be for 3 years with options to extend.
