Section 1 Tender Overview

Please note that this is an advertisement only.

Do not lodge any documentation within QTenders.

 Purpose:
The purpose of this event is only for the City of Moreton Bay (Council) to provide Suppliers with an Advance Tender Notice on a potential impending Tender opportunity.
There is no need to provide a response to this QTenders event or register your interest.
We ask all interested parties to be mindful of good probity practices, and to refrain from approaching or discussing this opportunity directly with other Council employees.
All related communications will only be facilitated through Council’s Corporate Procurement Department during the Tender open period.

Background:
The City of Moreton Bay Council (Council) constructs and maintains a vast array of sites including but not limited to Sport, Leisure, and Facilities, Parks, Administration, and Water Service.

The Building and Facilities, Asset Maintenance team manages assets across the Moreton Bay Region.  The type of work delivered by the team includes:

  • Preventative Maintenance of certain assets and services;
  • Reactive repair work of community and public spaces;
  • Defect assessment and rectification works; and
  • Planned maintenance of assets.

It is essential for Council to have a panel of fully qualified, licenced, and experienced contractors from which it can procure quality services in a cost effective and timely manner to support Council’s operations and service delivery to the community.

Council is looking to engage with an adequate number of suitably qualified providers via a Supplier Panel Arrangement, to potentially provide these services throughout the entire region to meet Council’s requirements.

Trade Services:

  • Commercial Building Services;
  • Handyman Services ;
  • Plumbing Services ; and
  • Electrical Services including Data Cabling.

These panels accommodate planned (maintenance), unplanned (repair) and emergency works. The panels also support disaster recovery efforts and are required to provide priority services.

Details:
Council intends that the opportunity to Tender will be conducted via a Public Open Market Request for Tender (RFT) process.
IMPORTANT: This will be carried out via a separate event on Vendor Panel and not on QTenders.

The current anticipated release of the RFT event on VendorPanel is in March-April 2024.
Supplier Panel Arrangement commencement is forecast from July 2024.
Council does not guarantee this Advance Tender Notice will result in an open Tender opportunity, and any changes remain at Council’s Sole and Absolute Discretion.
